The Story
I use Claude.ai every day. It's a fantastic tool, but as a power user, I kept hitting small friction points that slowed me down.
Simple things were missing. I couldn't save a chat offline to share with a colleague. I'd accidentally send half-written code blocks by hitting "Enter". Finding an old conversation meant scrolling endlessly through the history sidebar.
It wasn't broken, but it wasn't efficient.
So I built Claudify—a simple Chrome extension that adds the missing features I needed for a smoother workflow.
The Features
Claudify sits quietly in your browser and adds a few key utilities to the Claude interface:

The control panel adds simple buttons for export, search, and settings.
1. Export & Archive
You can now download your chats instantly.
- PDF — Formatted cleanly for reading or sharing.
- Markdown — Perfect for copying into Obsidian or Notion.
- Text — A raw log of the conversation.
2. Precise Control
Disable Return to Send. It's frustrating to send a message prematurely. This feature forces you to use Ctrl + Enter to send, letting you use the Enter key for new lines naturally. Great for writing code or long prompts.
3. Quick Search
Keyboard Shortcut: Alt+X. A simple search bar to find old conversations instantly without scrolling.
4. Cleanup Tools
Quickly clear or delete chats to keep your workspace tidy.
Why I Built It
This wasn't about reinventing the wheel. It was about improving the daily experience.
When you use a tool for hours a day, small frustrations add up. Saving a few seconds on every search or preventing a mistaken send makes the entire experience feel more professional and controlled.
Pro Tip: Better PDFs
If you use the PDF export, these print settings work best:
- Layout: Portrait
- Paper Size: Letter
- Options: Enable "Background Graphics" (keeps code syntax colors)
- Header/Footer: specific unnecessary text
